Vlad for Banks and Lasme?

Miami gets the shooter, drops Banks. We thin out the SF rotation, add the point we need, and get a young player with good defensive potential.

^^The question there KB8, I think, is who does Miami then play at PG? Why do they increase salary on a team that isn't really a contender?

how bout this?

New York, Lakers, Houston

New York gets T-mac and Luke

Houston gets LO, Randolph and Crawford

Lakers get Battier and Bobby jackson[/url]

now why dont we want t-mac in that situation

stop with the battier trades the lakers would never make a trade like that they aren't stupid no way do they take that much of a dip in talent

lamar will go for

josh smith
shawn marion
ron artest
luol deng
teyshaun prince

he will not go for battier or dunleavy

the lakers will not give up the tall line-up unless they get equal or more talent in return period

this is fact

We get our backup PF and probably our backup C. The 76ers get younger and get the shooters they've desperately needed for a while.

After this, we wouldn't even have to use the MLE or LLE. Our depth would be just fine. We should only sign a guy like Skinner or Elson if we can get them for the minimum. Then cut Mihm+Newble.

C - Andrew Bynum / Brian Skinner / DJ Mbenga
PF - Pau Gasol / Reggie Evans / Jason Smith
SF - Lamar Odom / Trevor Ariza / Luke Walton
SG - Kobe Bryant / Sasha Vujacic / Joe Crawford
PG - Derek Fisher / Jordan Farmar

i say the lakers sign J. Pargo, D.J. Mbenga & another big man for the bench. Besides Bynum, we've got a thin frontline

I normally hate making baseless trade proposals, but one I thought about today was Farmar for NY's David Lee. The Knicks did commit to Duhon, but I think Farmar would be a much better fit running D'Antoni's system and there's been speculation that they're trying to move Lee. Leaves us without a real backup PG but guys like Sasha, Lamar, Kobe and Luke know how to bring the ball up. I can't for the life of me figure out why New York would even consider trading Lee, but if he's available, Farmar's a good shooter and a fast guard that might fit with what the Knicks are trying to accomplish.

I'd deal Farmar for Lee in a heartbeat if we can get Pargo to sign for a reasonable deal.

We cant do a Farmar for Lee swap. If Fisher (whos old) gets hurt we have no PGs except for Sasha who can fill in limited minutes.
